Join us for the following workshops & family activities

12:00 pm - Event Begins - activities & resource vendors open

12:30 pm - Storytime - with Santa Clarita Public Library

Join librarians from the SCV library for some family bonding at this storytime to kick off our event activities.

1:00 pm - Workshop: Managing Difficult Emotions for Children - with Child & Family Center

Learn guided meditation & mindful movement tools that can be used during times of stress, when children (or adults) are navigating big feelings, or as a regular mindfulness practice for you and your family.

1:30 pm - Family Yoga

This activity for both adults & children provides an opportunity where attendees can enjoy themselves while moving in a supportive, non-competitive environment that brings children, families, and communities together to spread mindfulness.

2:00 pm - Workshop: Keeping Our Kids Safe – with StrengthUnited

Whether online or in the community, our children’s safety is a top priority. Learn tools & strategies for having age appropriate conversations about public safety, healthy relationships, and social media safety.

2:30 pm - Family Drum Circle - with Remo Music Center

Attendees of all ages, with or without a musical background, can experience making music with others in a welcoming, friendly, non-challenging environment and experience the benefits and joys of making music.

3:00 pm - Workshop: Coping Skills Bingo -with StrengthUnited

This interactive workshop introduces various coping skills and tools for implementing them that youth and adults alike can use. Through the game of Bingo, attendees are also encouraged to share ideas on different coping skills they can use throughout the day. The workshop provides a great opportunity for youth and caregivers to bond.

3:30 pm - P.L.A.Y. (Physical Learning Activities for Youth) - with YMCA of Santa Clarita Valley

Children will be led through a series of games and exercises that will help to develop their cardiovascular system, flexibility, muscular system, fine motor skills, and instill the importance of healthy living and exercise.
