Four Ramos Bills Head to Senate

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) today had four bills receive approval by the Assembly to continue on to the Senate.

“Thank you to the Assembly for joining me to address the priorities in the 40th district: access to apprenticeship programs, suicide prevention, workplace safety, and fair lending practices. I hope these bills continue through the Senate to the Governor’s desk,” said Assemblymember Ramos.

Loma Linda surgeon performed the first successful infant to infant heart transplant

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) will adjourn the Assembly floor session today in the memory of famed and admired Loma Linda pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. Leonard Bailey. He passed away on May 12 at the age of 76.

Ramos Social Bullying Bill Moves to Senate

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) is pleased to announce that his first bill, AB 34 concerning social bullying, has passed the Assembly and will now move to the Senate.

“This is a major achievement for students and families across California and especially in the 40th Assembly District. The tragic consequences of social bullying have hit our community hard and must be addressed. I look forward to seeing this bill continue through its process and hopefully end up as legislation,” said Assemblymember Ramos.
