(San Bernardino, CA) – In recognition of Veterans Day Monday, November 11, 2019 Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) hosted and honored 10 outstanding veterans who were selected for their service by a panel of five veterans at his first inaugural “Veterans Honoring Veterans” Ceremony.
(Sacramento, CA) – Yesterday the State Auditor released a comprehensive report on policies that are used to identify and provide support to youth experiencing homelessness following a request by AssemblymembersJames C. Ramos (D – Highland), David Chiu (D – San Francisco), and Luz Rivas (D - Arleta), made in February of this year.
(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D – Highland) is pleased to announce that his bill AB 1767 which will expand school district suicide prevention policies that are age appropriate to kindergarten and grades 1 to 6 has been signed into law by the Governor.

“I thank Governor Newsom for signing this important bill that ensures victims are not left behind. Standing up for victims has been a key priority of mine. This bill will give victims a voice and the opportunity to seek restitution through the judicial process,” said Assemblymember Ramos.

Key topics of interest included collaboration with law enforcement, partnerships with clinicians, and the importance of additional behavioral health resources in San Bernardino.
